Stash is a platform that makes investing simple by facilitating safe, secure, and speedy transfers. You can transfer money to your Stash account from an external bank account via the app or the web. Transferring money from the Stash app

Important notes:

• It can take up to three business days for the transfer to be completed and for the money to move out of your external bank account.
• When you transfer money from your external bank account to your Invest portfolio(s), the amount transferred is immediately shown as Pending in your Invest portfolio activity.
• Transfers within Stash between your Stash banking account and portfolio(s) are instant, so you can get immediate access to your money.
• Transfers to an external bank account can take 1-3 business days.
• If you transfer money out of Stash, it will be removed from your Stash account almost immediately, but it may take up to five business days for the money to appear in your external bank account.
• If you transfer money to your debit card, the money should be available in minutes.

Transferring money from the Stash website

It is important to note that there are different procedures for transferring money from a Retirement or Custodial account. For these accounts, Stash's customer service team is available to help. • Invested funds: If you intend to transfer money that you have invested, you must first sell those investments.
• Unsettled sales: Proceeds from the sale of investments will take two business days to settle and will be available for transfer on the third business day.
• Deposit holds: Stash holds recent deposits for up to five business days to protect against fraud. Your money will be available for transfer within six business days.
• Referral and promotional funds: These funds must remain in your Stash account for 90 calendar days before they can be transferred out.

It's important to note that business days refer to Mondays through Fridays, excluding weekends and US bank holidays.

Furthermore, there is a one-time transfer limit from an external bank account to different Stash accounts. For Stash Personal Portfolio/Custodian/Smart Portfolio, the limit is $10,000, while for Stash Retire, the limit is $6,000.

Viewing transfer status

To view the status of a transfer made to or from your Stash banking account, you can use either the app or the website.

Checking transfer status on the Stash app:
